These free business tools cover the jobs that come up every week in a company in Saudi Arabia: working out 15% VAT and zakat, producing an invoice or receipt voucher to print, pricing a product for a target margin and calculating an end of service award. Search by the task or pick a category; each tool shows the result with the working in your own numbers. Every tool has its own page explaining the rule behind it and where that rule comes from.
Pick the situation closest to yours and we take you to its tools.
We built them for the people who handle the day-to-day numbers in small and mid-sized companies in the Kingdom:
A few serve anyone: percentages, the gap between two dates in Hijri and Gregorian, and amounts written in words.
There are three kinds of tool on this page:
Calculations run inside your browser, so the amounts and names you type into a tool are not sent to Microtec. Some tools keep your recent calculations in your own browser so you can come back to them, and the share button puts your inputs in the link itself if you want to send a result to a colleague.
The first time you download or print a file we ask for your name, mobile number and email, once for the whole site; after that, downloads from any tool on the same device go straight through. Copying to the clipboard skips this step, and the on-screen result is never hidden.
The tools use the published rates and rules, and each page names the source of every regulatory figure it uses. They do not replace filing your return on the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) portal, the contribution records on the GOSI platform, or an employment contract where a specific clause applies. Use the figure to prepare and cross-check, then file what your books support.
An invoice from the invoice generator is a document for printing and reference, not an e-invoice under ZATCA's e-invoicing rules. A business registered for VAT issues its invoices from a compliant e-invoicing solution.
A calculator answers one question at a time. Once invoices run to a hundred a day, stock counts are monthly and payroll covers dozens of staff, the calculation needs a system that records it and ties it to inventory and the ledger. At Microtec we build those systems for businesses in Saudi Arabia, and our solutions are approved by ZATCA.
Every tool on this page is free, with no subscription, no account and no limit on how often you use it. The full result shows on screen, and we only ask for something the first time you download a file: your name, mobile and email, once for the whole site.
The amounts and names you enter are not sent to Microtec, because the calculation runs in your browser. Recent calculations that some tools keep stay in your own browser, and a share link carries your inputs inside it, so anyone you give it to sees what you typed.
Use it to prepare and cross-check; the return itself is filed on the ZATCA portal from your books. Each calculator names the source of the rate it uses, and if a rule changes in Saudi Arabia, the authority's updated text is what counts.
No. The invoice generator produces a printable document suited to businesses not registered for VAT, to learning and to reference. A VAT-registered business issues its invoices from an e-invoicing solution that meets ZATCA's rules.
No. Each tool handles one task and keeps no books from one day to the next. Accounting software records entries, links invoices to stock and customers and produces financial statements. The tools help with a quick calculation, an urgent document, or understanding a rule before you set it up in your system.
We release the tools one a day, starting with those tied to near deadlines such as Fatoora integration and the VAT return. A tool not yet released shows greyed out without a link, and the three most recent releases carry a "New" label.
